Lot Details

Fujian, China - c.1600. Bluish white clay. Flat indented base with an integrated foot ring; low curving wall with an everted rim. Crudely painted in cobalt blue underglaze around the lower exterior wall with a double line; around the exterior rim with three sprays surmounted by a single line; in the cavetto with a floral spray depicted on a flat surface encircled by a double line. The whole, excluding the resting surface, with a clear glaze. H.3.8cm. Dia.18.4cm. Cat. Note/Ref.: Chip to rim. Very Good. Origin/Date: China Fujian Pinghe Zhangzhou, c.1600
